About this race
The Preungesheim Village Run takes place at Sportpark Preungesheim in Frankfurt, starting and finishing on the park’s 400m track. TV Preungesheim von 1880 e. V. organizes the event, which includes distances from a 400m Bambinilauf for very young children to 1 mile, 3km, 5km, and 10km races. The shorter races are intended for children and teenagers. The 5km and 10km races are for older youth and adults. Senior categories range from M/W 30 to M/W 85 in five-year increments, accommodating club runners, families, older participants, and children running their first race.
The 400m race is confined to the track. The 1 mile and 3km routes are traffic-free asphalt paths with a gentle incline. The 5km route is primarily asphalted and traffic-free, featuring a climb through the Preungesheim area before returning via the fields. The 10km follows the initial section of the 5km, then proceeds through the Preungesheim Field back to the sport park. Participants may enter only one race, although some age groups can select between two appropriate distances. Post-race provisions include water and fruit for runners, with coffee, cake, sausages, pretzels, and non-alcoholic beverages available at the venue.
