Frontrun - Janus Queer Games 2026

Frontrun begins at Jahnwiesen, located behind Cologne’s RheinEnergie-Stadion, guiding participants along paved routes within the city forest. This event is integrated into the Janus Queer Games, a multisport gathering for the queer community in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, offering 5 km and 10 km individual races alongside a 5 km partner run. The race is structured to foster a queer-friendly sports community, moving beyond a typical stand-alone road race. Participants have the option to form pairs for the 5 km distance, engage in other sports offered by the Queer Games, and interact with attendees from outside Germany. The event collaborates with Run of Colours, and historical results and photographs are maintained in an archive. The Cologne running store dauerlauf has provided support through prizes and bibs, with ongoing race updates disseminated via a newsletter.
