Frostwiesenlauf is the winter, no-clock event of the Spreewaldmarathon in Burg in the Spreewald. Participants run, hike, or walk through the biosphere reserve, not chasing official times. It is designed for cold-season activity in and around Burg, with on-site starts in the Spreewald and a separate "At Home" option for those who wish to join from their own route. The on-site distances offered are approximately 3.6 or 5 kilometers, 10 kilometers, 13 kilometers, the half marathon, and 30 kilometers.
The Burg program utilizes local start areas like Bootshaus Leineweber and the Landhotel, with late entries typically available. The field is diverse, accommodating runners, walkers, hikers, and Spreewaldmarathon regulars without formal timing. The event includes winter Spreewald additions, such as optional barge trips and sauna services. "At Home" participants select their own day, start time, route, and distance. Registered finishers receive a medal based on trust; a certificate requires sending confirmation via the contact form.
