The Hofmühl-Volksfest-Halbmarathon is a half marathon held in Eichstätt, Bavaria, during the city’s folk festival on the first weekend of Oktoberfest. It combines road racing with festival activities: participants can select the full half marathon, an 11 km short course, a 1.7 km children’s and youth race, or a 400 m Bambini run for the youngest participants. The course winds through Eichstätt’s old town and along the Altmühl riverbanks, concluding at the folk festival grounds.
