Messelauf 2026

Messelauf is a running event format associated with fairs in German-speaking regions, featured at Wertheim, Lauda-Königshofen, and the LÖFFLER Messelauf during Sportmesse Ried. The Wertheimer Messelauf takes place by the Main-Tauber-Halle and Taubersportplatz, featuring a half marathon, 10 km, 4.5 km run, a student race, a Bambini run, and a 400 m mini run for kindergarteners. Lauda-Königshofen’s Messelauf is linked to the Königshöfer Messe and provides short urban race options. The Sportmesse Ried event is part of a sports, fitness, outdoor, and movement fair. The Wertheim program accommodates serious runners, hobby runners, walkers, schoolchildren, and very young children on the same day. Its 4.5 km event includes team scoring, and the children’s races exclude the youngest participants from formal competitive rankings. The LÖFFLER Messelauf is more compact, offering 4 km, 10 km, and a three-person team run on a flat asphalt course of certified 2 km laps. Participants receive fair-linked extras, including entry for themselves and a companion, refreshments, a starter package for early registrations, SMS results, a personal certificate link, and same-day prize money distribution.
