レースについて
The proWissen-Lauf begins and ends behind the Biosphäre Potsdam in Volkspark Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany. The primary races are simple 5 km and 10 km runs; the 10 km race covers the park loop twice. Younger children have their own Bambini run of approximately 550 meters before the main races commence around late morning.
The 5 km loop consists of asphalt, hiking paths, and field paths, featuring kilometer markers and a refreshment station. The organizer, proWissen Potsdam, established the event to connect health, sport, and science. Consequently, runners share the day with families, school groups, clubs, organizations, and individuals attending hands-on experiments and sports activities at booths near the start-finish area. Teams from organizations, schools, and clubs are ranked by summing the times of their five fastest participants. Overall winners and top teams are awarded material prizes, and both adults and children receive finisher medals.
