PSV-Winterlaufserie Holzminden 2026

The PSV-Winterlaufserie Holzminden is a running and walking series held at the Liebigstrasse sports facilities in Holzminden, featuring eight race days from late November to late December. Now in its 40th edition, it offers familiar five and ten kilometre running and walking distances, alongside a new 16.5 kilometre option for those seeking a challenge beyond 10K or a preparation for longer races. The previous 20 kilometre loop was removed due to low participation. Approximately half of the participants come from the Hoxter sports region. The field includes club runners, strong local athletes, beginners, walkers, and individuals returning to sport. While single race entries are possible, the series ranking requires a minimum of three finishes over the same distance. A notable tradition is Werner Goluke, who has finished every prior edition and encourages hesitant newcomers to participate.
