The Ronsberger Crosslauf is a cross-country running event held at the sports ground in Ronsberg, Bavaria, located in Germany’s Allgäu region. The primary race is the Sparkassen Hauptlauf, covering 8.1 km and open to youth and adults. Prior to this, children’s and student races take place over 500 m, 1 km, and 2 km. The adult race begins in the early afternoon. Runners may register online beforehand or in person on the day of the event.
SC 1919 Ronsberg e.V. is the organizer, with Sparkasse Allgäu serving as a sponsor and the Sport Schindele Pokal associated with the race. The Crosslauf originated in 1985, established by the club’s winter sports department, and is considered one of the oldest running events in the Allgäu. Its history is remarkably consistent; since its inception, when local interest was already significant, it has been cancelled only once, during the pandemic.
