Rund um die Ravensburg is a mountain bike race day in Ravensburg, part of the O.M.V.-Cup and the Alpen-Cup. It is held during the Weststadt Action Festival, a three-day event focused on cycling, featuring short, intense races and practical riding experiences instead of a basic road circuit. The schedule includes MTB short track races for children and young riders, youth races for ages five to 18, the Deutschlandpokal, and an Action-Fun-Cup Eliminator Sprint with a fast knockout format.
The main attraction is a specially constructed action course designed primarily for mountain bikes. It features a large wooden berm, a section through Autohaus Zwerger, a dirt area, and jumps, making the riding more technical and engaging than a typical cross-country course. The event also offers attendees the opportunity to ride the course, with demo bikes provided for those who do not bring their own. Extreme adventurer Anselm Pahnke kicks off the festival with a presentation on his solo ride across the Kalahari Desert, and professional mountain biker Daniel Gathof will join participants on the course. The event caters to a wide range of participants: children, hobby riders, serious amateurs, and professionals are all welcome.
