RWUT Runfellows vorWald Ultra Trail 2026

The RWUT Runfellows vorWald Ultra Trail begins and ends at Riverside Ranch in Reichenbach am Regen, located in Germany's Bavarian Forest region. This autumn event offers three trail running and hiking options: a short route of approximately 17 km, a middle route of about 34 km, and a 63 km ultra. The terrain is hilly, primarily on trails, with ascents of roughly 350 meters for the short course, 720 meters for the middle course, and 1,360 meters for the ultra. The race, organized by RunFellows Laufbewerbe, commences in the morning. The courses traverse the Bavarian Vorwald via paths winding past streams, single-track trails, rock formations, natural landmarks, and castle ruins. Participants share the event with hikers, walkers, and speed hikers, making it accessible beyond just trail specialists. Dogs are permitted on the course, aligning with the event's animal-friendly ethos, as a portion of the entry fee supports animal-assisted therapy through Theo. The race is recognized by the German Ultrarunning Association and includes on-course aid stations, post-race refreshments, baggage storage, changing facilities, showers, personalized bibs, participant gifts, and a pasta meal.
