Silvesterlauf Drochtersen 2026

Silvesterlauf Drochtersen is a New Year's Eve running event held at Kehdinger Stadion in Drochtersen, Lower Saxony, near the Elbe. Organized by TV Germania Drochtersen, it is a local sports club race featuring timed 10 km and 5 km runs, a 1,000 m student run, Nordic walking, hiking, and a short inclusion run without timing or age limits. The event began in 1974, and recent editions have drawn over 500 participants, marking it as a community race. The traditional route begins at Kehdinger Stadion, heads toward Krautsand, follows the Elbe, and concludes back at the stadium. Participants navigate a course combining paved roads and walking paths. Police, firefighters, the DLG, and the German Red Cross assist with road crossings and safety. The 5 km race follows an out-and-back format, while the 10 km is the primary event for adults and youth. The program also accommodates children, walkers, hikers, and first-time participants.
