Silvesterlauf Lüchow 2026

The Lüchower Silvesterlauf is a 5 km road race in Lüchow, Lower Saxony, held on the last day of the year. It begins and ends in front of the Sparkasse on Lange Straße in the town center. The field is limited to 400 runners, and age groups start at 8 years old. The course consists of two laps of a 2.5 km street circuit, allowing spectators on Lange Straße to see the runners multiple times. Hundreds of participants take part, including local clubs like TSV Bösel, MTV Dannenberg, and SC Lüchow. Over 1,000 people line the street to offer encouragement. Costumes are a customary element, with a dedicated award for the best costume, and a team competition is also held for groups of five registered under the same name.
