Stadtlauf Laage is a city run in Laage, Germany, held in the morning as part of the town’s traditional autumn market. The programme is designed for local runners rather than only specialists: individual races cover 3.3 km, 6.6 km, and 9.9 km, with a 1000-metre children’s run alongside them. Company and club teams also race a 4 x 1650-metre relay for cups and medals.
The route sends runners through a well-secured town centre, with the mayor starting the race. Its first edition came from a citizen appeal to add something active to the autumn market, and the running group of Sport Club Laage helped with the organisation. More than 87 endurance runners joined the individual events, while nine relay teams made the team race the busiest sporting moment of the morning.
