The Stadtwerke-Europalauf takes place annually in Neustadt in Holstein, a town on Germany’s Baltic Sea coast, every August since 1985. The event offers multiple race distances: a half marathon, a 10 km run, a 5 km run, a 2.5 km run, a 900 m run for children, and a 7.5 km event for walkers and Nordic walkers.
The half marathon route connects the Baltic Sea resorts of Neustadt, Pelzerhaken, and Rettin, providing views across Neustadt Bay. The course finishes in Neustadt along the beach promenade, running beside the sand. The shorter races accommodate a wider range of participants, with children aged eight and older permitted in some events and a dedicated distance for younger children.
