Steinhuder-Meer-Lauf 2026

The Steinhuder Meer Lauf begins on Dewitz-von-Woyna-Straße in Poggenhagen, with all main-distance runners starting together at 11 a.m. TSV Poggenhagen organizes the event, which includes 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon races, along with children’s runs of 450 and 850 meters. The race has a long local history, with dozens of editions held, and the course is eligible for official records. The routes go north around Poggenhagen. The 10 km passes the airfield on the way to Großenheidorn before returning. Half marathon runners proceed further to the bathing island in Steinhude, then return via Großenheidorn Strand. The event counts toward DLV running badges, certificates can be found online, and awards are given to the top three in each competition, plus a separate prize for the largest registered group.
