Straberger 1/3 Marathon 2026

The Straberger 1/3 Marathon is a Friday-evening running event held in Dormagen-Straberg. The village center at Linden-Kirch-Platz serves as the start and finish line for its main race, which covers 14.065 kilometers – precisely one third of a marathon. The event also features a 5 km Hobbylauf and various shorter races for children and teens. The course departs from the village to follow a more natural path, winding past Kloster Knechtsteden and through the forest. FC Straberg is the organizing body. The event caters to a wide range of participants: beginners can opt for the 5 km, while more serious runners may use the 1/3 Marathon as a training run for a full marathon. Children have options ranging from the 200 m Bambini race to youth mile and 1,000 m events. Before and after the quieter running segments, the village center contributes a festive atmosphere with samba and local traditions.
