Tough Mudder Berlin-Brandenburg is a mud-and-obstacle race at Spargelhof Klaistow in Beelitz, near Berlin. It is the only Tough Mudder venue in Western Europe, set in a location that gives the event a distinct Brandenburg character: forest paths, sandy plains, and flat ground surrounding a working asparagus farm. The main format is a cross-country adventure run focused on teamwork over podium finishes, with obstacles requiring participants to climb, crawl, haul, balance, and get thoroughly muddy together. Saturday features a longer course with over 20 obstacles, while the shorter option includes 12 or more, making the weekend accessible for both first-time participants and experienced mud-run teams.
The course is described as fast and beginner-friendly, though the terrain and repeated obstacles can still challenge participants' endurance. Groups, corporate teams, families, spectators, and children are all accommodated at the event: kids aged 4 to 14 can participate in the Kids Adventure, spectator tickets are available, and on-site camping allows attendees to extend their stay for the entire weekend. The farm setting provides local food options at Spargelhof Klaistow, making the venue more unique than a standard field outside a city. The weekend also hosts a Spartan Race, offering obstacle racing enthusiasts multiple challenges at the same location.
