TOUR Transalp 2026

TOUR Transalp is a road bike stage race across the Alps, with Lienz as the event base. It is designed for amateur cyclists seeking a race that resembles a professional tour more than a single-day sportive, featuring multiple stages, named host towns, partially closed roads, and logistics managed by Delius Klasing Verlag GmbH. The scale is significant, with fields of up to approximately 1,000 riders from 28 countries. The route presents the challenge and primary appeal. One edition covers 884 kilometers with roughly 19,200 meters of climbing, meaning riders spend the week completing long Alpine days rather than focusing on a single summit. The course crosses major mountain passes, valleys, and high-road sections through the Alps, with a different pass featured on each stage. Packages are available for the entire race and for shorter challenge options, aligning with the event's aim: a substantial, organized Alpine stage-race experience for riders who, while not professionals, wish to compete at that level for a week.
