Rönskenstraße fills for the Voerde New Year's Eve Run, a traditional race held on New Year's Eve in Voerde. The event caters to a mixed field with options for runners and Nordic walkers: short distances of 500 meters and 1,750 meters, or the longer five- and ten-kilometer courses. The Triminators organize the race. Chairman Lothar Lefort noted the latest participation was a new record, with 306 runners, female runners, and Nordic walkers attending. The finish featured a close duel that gave spectators a moment to cheer.
