The Copenhagen Børnecancerløbet takes place on a marked 1 km loop in Fælledparken. Participants have 12 hours to complete as many laps as they choose. This annual event supports the Children’s Cancer Foundation through movement and community engagement. There is no timing or minimum standard; individuals can run, walk, begin at their convenience, and finish after 1 km or continue for much longer.
The first lap is a walk with children from Riget, the children’s hospital, setting a collaborative tone before the laps begin. Teams, known as boxes, compete to cover the greatest distance and raise the most funds. The top individual fundraiser also receives recognition. Music, food stalls, and coffee contribute to the park's lively atmosphere. Organizers describe the event's spirit with the phrase “just one more lap.” Each kilometre contributes to the fundraising total, with sponsors donating per lap, and all contributions directly benefiting the Children’s Cancer Foundation.
