Bisselineløbet begins on Torneværksvej in Rønne, Bornholm, offering routes of 10 km, 25 km, 60 km, and 98 km. This is a recreational cycling event, not a closed-road race, open to anyone with a legal bicycle and a helmet. The event has a local atmosphere with approximately 200 participants across the various distances.
The routes venture inland on Bornholm, avoiding the coast. Participants must observe standard traffic regulations, including using bike paths when available. Roads remain open without traffic control, and the course is marked by signs, making it suitable for those comfortable sharing the road. The event originated from separate races for women and men, Bisseline and Bobbarrækusløbet, now united under a single name. Organizers emphasize the social aspect, featuring sponsor lottery prizes and encouraging participants to ride with companions, viewing the day as more than just a test of speed.
