Brabrand Sø Halvmarathon

Brabrand Sø Halvmarathon is a half marathon based at the parking lot on Søholmvej 80 in Viby J, just outside Aarhus. The race always starts at 10:00 AM, with a short briefing at 9:45 AM, and runners cover two laps around Brabrand Lake rather than a single out-and-back route. There is no official time limit, though anyone expecting to need more than three hours is asked to mention it when signing up. The first lap is 11.1 km and runs along Søskovvej between Brabrand Lake and Årslev Engsø before joining Brabrandstien toward Viby Ringvej. Runners pass a refreshment station by the motorway bridge, continue out toward Stavstrup and the Y-junction, then return toward Søholmvej on a gravel path with another aid point. The second lap uses more of the gravel path, passes Stavstrup tennis club, goes under the motorway bridge, includes a stair section back to Brabrandstien, and finishes by heading through the lake area again.
