Helvede i Nord is an Easter trail and hiking race held in Tisvilde Hegn, near Tisvildeleje at the northern tip of Sjælland, Denmark. The name translates to “Hell in the North,” fitting for a course featuring sandy and earthy forest trails, along with sections on the beach. Participants can select from 32 km, 21 km, 12 km, or 6 km distances; the shortest option is also available as a walk. Nordtrim / Tisvilde Hegn OK is the organizing body, with the start line located at the end of Hovedgaden in Tisvilde.
The course primarily crosses the forest, but the inclusion of the beach provides a rugged coastal character distinct from typical woodland trails. A prior edition attracted 1,253 participants, including 169 in the 32 km race, indicating its status as a widely attended local event rather than a niche competition. The race is approaching its 25th anniversary. A past detail from the finish area included alcohol-free beer from Skovlyst brewery for finishers. One participant described the post-race feeling with the remark that they had been told they ran like a rockstar.
