Hvalsø Cannonball Ultra 2026

Hvalsø Cannonball Ultra is a trail running race series organized by Hvalsø Løbeklub, taking place around Hvalsø, Denmark. The primary trail ultra is set in Bidstrup Skovene, starting and finishing at Heidi Overdrev. Other events typically begin from either the Skovvejens parking area or Heidi Overdrev. Participants can select from various distances, including short routes, half marathon, marathon, 52.5 km, and 85 km. The trail ultra additionally provides options for quarter, half, full, and ultra marathon distances. The trail course is a distinct 10.6 km loop crossing forest paths, singletrack-style trails, and gravel, featuring significant elevation gain for the Zealand region. The ultra format allows runners to adjust their chosen distance during the event. The half and full marathons adhere to Klub100 regulations. Each race provides an aid station and a medal. A briefing and start photo occur just before the race begins. The trail ultra includes start numbers, professional timing, a staffed aid station with hot and cold beverages, fruit, sweets, crisps, and bread, along with a smaller, unstaffed aid station midway through the course. The series also features unique races like Sagnlandet, limited to 200 participants, and an On Tour format with variable start locations.
