Love Nature Backyard Ultra takes participants to Anneberg Skov in Odsherred for the standard backyard format. A 6.706 km loop begins each hour; runners must finish the loop and be ready for the next start on time. Failing to meet the time limit or missing the start results in a DNF. The race continues as long as at least two runners complete the loop within the hour. Only one runner can win: the one who completes the final loop solo. If no one starts that final loop, the race concludes without a winner.
The loop comprises forest paths, both flat and hilly sections, crossing varied woodland with approximately 120 meters of elevation gain per circuit. The initial six loops are anticipated to be in daylight. Runners continuing from loop seven onwards will require a headlamp. The event hub is a shelter site providing water and restrooms. Entry grants space to sleep in a shelter, tent, or pavilion, giving the race the atmosphere of an overnight camp as much as a running competition. Love Nature Run is the organizer, with a runner limit of 100. Previous editions have concluded at moderate backyard distances, with winners typically completing 15 to 17 laps.
