Sandflugtsløbet 2026

Sandflugtsløbet is a family-friendly run in Rørvig, Odsherred, on Denmark’s northwest Zealand coast. It takes place annually on the last Saturday in October, from 10:00 to 17:00. FK Odsherred Runners organize it, and the event is designed for runners, walkers, families, and children, not exclusively fast club racers. The route follows Sandflugtsplantagen, the natural area between Nykøbing Sjælland and Rørvig, adjacent to Kattegat. Recent editions have featured a 2 km children’s run, and organizers anticipate around 700 participants. A practical tradition involves medal donations: runners can return unwanted medals, which are then reused, with 25 DKK donated to Julemærkehjemmene. Volunteers receive a free ticket to the victory dinner.
