Skovlystløbet - Århus 2026

Skovlystløbet in Aarhus begins at Moesgaard Strand in September, offering 5 km or 10 km options. Both distances utilize the same forest path, with 10 km participants completing the 5 km loop twice. This Aarhus race is one of two in the Skovlystløbet series; the other takes place on Sjælland in Rude Skov. It is designed for general participants, including groups, families, friends, and colleagues, not exclusively competitive club runners. The Moesgaard Skov route crosses young woodland, inclines alongside Giber Å, passes streams, marshy areas, mature trees, and sections with coastal vistas. Post-race, participants receive refreshments, a non-alcoholic Skovlyst lager, and a medal. A notable feature is the tree planting initiative, where each entry results in a tree planted in the runner's name. Corporate groups are welcome, with potential discounts for larger entries.
