The Køge Marina Trail takes runners around a working marina, through adjacent green spaces, and onto the beach in Køge, Denmark. This autumn Sunday trail run is based at Køge Marina and offers 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km distances, allowing both beginners and experienced runners to select a suitable option. Check-in opens in the morning before the races commence. The entry fee covers a medal for all finishers, and a separate race is held for participants running with their dogs.
The course circles the boat harbor, passes the forest amphitheater, and extends onto the sand, transitioning between water, woodland, and beach environments. The inaugural event attracted over 400 participants, with Ken Kristensen, chair of the local culture and sports committee, participating himself. The designated dog routes are clearly marked, and the event is designed for returning participants, newcomers, and anyone seeking a short trail race with a distinct maritime atmosphere.
