TrygFonden Christiansborg Rundt 2026

TrygFonden Christiansborg Rundt is a Copenhagen swimming event with over 5,500 participants circling Christiansborg through the city’s canals and harbor. It takes place on Friday and Saturday, offering swimmers a unique opportunity to compete in water usually restricted to designated bathing and dip zones. The route is cleared of canal tour boats and other traffic, ensuring swimmers are kept separate from vessels. By & Havn plays a significant role behind the scenes, with extensive preparation focused on ensuring the safety of both swimmers and spectators. This annual closure of the canal route makes the race distinctively Copenhagen: for one weekend, the water surrounding the seat of government becomes a mass swim course.
