Almijara Trail is a mountain race based in Nerja, on Spain’s Andalusian coast, with race operations centered at the Enrique López Cuenca Athletics Stadium. Promoted by Club Nerja Atletismo and approved by the Andalusian Athletics Federation, it covers 22.3 km and climbs about 1,100 meters, placing it firmly in trail-running territory.
The entire route stays inside the municipality of Nerja, using paths, narrow trails, and forest tracks in the Sierra de Almijara. The event is in its eleventh edition, giving it local history, and its setup points to a race built around club organization, federation standards, and a compact course in the hills above town.
