The Gràcia-Montserrat race begins in Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia, Barcelona, and concludes at the Monastery of Montserrat. This mountain traverse takes place in late May, featuring a 19-hour time limit and a maximum of 500 participants. The route involves a 2,100-meter ascent and a 2,100-meter descent, peaking at 720 meters, with a total accumulated elevation change of 4,650 meters.
The course is predominantly off-road, consisting of 5% asphalt, 60% dirt tracks or paths, and 35% trails, with no cross-country sections noted. Participants, both runners and walkers, have access to eight liquid aid stations and eight solid aid stations, plus food at the finish line. Organized by UEC Gràcia, the event is part of the FEEC Copa Catalana de Caminades de Resistència. It includes a prize raffle and allocates a portion of its proceeds to a charitable cause. With at least 37 editions completed, it is a long-established race.
