Carmiña Carreira

Carmiña Carreira is a running event held in June in Marín, Pontevedra, organized by the Sports Department of the Concello de Marín. The primary race covers approximately 10.6 km, beginning at Praia de Lapamán and concluding at Paseo Alcalde Antonio Blanco. A shorter Minicarmiña race, 5.4 km in length, starts from Praia de Aguete, close to the marina. The event encourages both local involvement and competitive racing. Athletes under 18 years old may participate in either the 5K or 10K races. School categories are specified, and inclusive categories are available for adults and school-age runners. Registration also offers a local federated category for Marín residents and a combined entry for the Carmiña and the 10K Marín Manuel Rosales.
