CARREIRA PEDESTRE POPULAR DE SANTIAGO 2026

The Carreira Pedestre Popular de Santiago is a Sunday morning road race held in Santiago de Compostela. It begins on Avenida de Xoán XXIII and concludes in Praza do Obradoiro. The adult race covers 12 km, while schoolchildren compete in a 7 km event. The race is listed on the Galician Athletics Federation’s regional calendar. Thousands of participants, including children, novice runners, and established club athletes, take part. The course winds through the city center before finishing in Obradoiro, the square before Santiago’s cathedral, providing a distinctly local atmosphere.
