The Carrera contra la Violencia de Género is a free 3 km urban race in San Roque, organized by the San Roque City Council. It starts in the central Plaza de las Constituciones, loops through the town’s streets, and finishes back in the same square.
The race brings together about 200 athletes from across the province of Cadiz, and its purpose is openly civic: to denounce and protest gender-based violence. The event is in its sixth edition, and participants have a cloakroom available for leaving their belongings before they run.
