Carrera Nocturna Faro de Torrox

The Carrera Nocturna Faro de Torrox is an 8 km night race held in Torrox, a town on the Malaga coast. Organized by the Torrox City Council sports department, it takes place in September on an urban circuit. The main streets of the town are utilized for the event, and the distance is certified by the Andalusian Athletics Federation. The race begins on Avenida de El Faro, proceeds along the Senda Litoral de Malaga under torchlight, and then circles the river mouth towards the seafront promenades of Ferrara and El Morche. Participants cross the footbridge over the dunes of La Carraca. A refreshment station is located at Plaza de la Marina, with showers and changing rooms available by the Conejito sports court. The competition is open to the junior category and above, accommodating both younger competitive runners and adults.
