Carrera Popular Balanegra - Circuito dip. Almería 2026

The Carrera Popular Balanegra is an 8.1 km road race held in Balanegra, a town in Spain’s Almería province. It takes place in October as part of the Provincial Circuit of Popular Races of Almería. The event is organized by Balanegra City Council and the Sports Area of the Provincial Council of Almería, and it is homologated by the Andalusian Athletics Federation. The start and finish are both on Avenida del Mar. The route follows the town’s main streets, with aid stations positioned along the way. Prior to the main race, school races feature younger participants in prebenjamín, benjamín, alevín, infantil, and cadete categories. Awards are given to the top three men and women, the top three clubs, and the first local runners to finish.
