Carrera Popular Villa de Meira 2026

The Carrera Popular Villa de Meira is a Saturday evening road race held in Meira, concluding in the Plaza del Concello. The primary adult race, covering 5.2 kilometers, is open to participants over 18 years old and marks the event's sixth year. The day begins with races for children, from the "pitufos" category through cadets, with staggered starts every 5 to 10 minutes. Distances vary from 50 meters for the youngest to 3 kilometers for cadets. A walking event follows the same route, commencing fifteen minutes prior to the races. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the adult race.
