Carrera solidaria A Santiago Contra el Cáncer is a charity walk in Santiago de Compostela, organized by the local branch of the Spanish Association Against Cancer. It starts in the morning from the Paseo Central de la Alameda and is built around participation rather than speed or competition.
Entry is available online or in person at the association’s Santiago headquarters. The money raised goes to cancer research and to free support services for patients and their families, and the event also includes a public science fair, “Ciencia para todos,” which brings the medical and research side of the cause into the day itself.
