Clar de Lluna 2026

Clar de Lluna is a 10.4 km night walk in Santa Maria de Palautordera, held on the Saturday closest to July’s full moon. It is a low-difficulty event, though the first half includes uphill sections, and participants move at different speeds: some walk, others run. Places are limited, but the crowd is broad, with children, adults, local participants, and visitors from other Catalan regions sharing the route. The course stays around Santa Maria de Palautordera, Fogars de Montclús, and Sant Esteve de Palautordera, bordering Montseny Natural Park. It passes Mediterranean woodland with pine, holm oak, cork oak, some oak, and undergrowth such as heather, juniper, and strawberry tree; in mushroom season, the same area can produce varieties like saffron milk caps and pine mushrooms. The route offers views toward Montseny, the Tordera Valley, the Mosqueroles Valley, and Montnegre, and it follows the old line of a popular march that began in the early 1980s. The same evening also coincides with Palau’s Craft Fair, organized by the local shops and merchants’ union, so the walk is part of a wider summer night of stalls and activity.
