Cours pour les Objectifs de Développement Durable is a city road-race event in Madrid, with 1.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km options and a late-September slot. The unusual part is the scoring idea: the aim is not to chase a finishing time, but to add seconds of physical activity to a shared total. People can run, walk, swim, or cycle, and remote participation from home counts alongside the in-person races in Madrid.
The series sits inside a global week of action for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, so entrants are treated as ambassadors for the goals rather than just race participants. The 10 km is the most popular distance, but the shorter options make the event easy to join for people who want a lighter effort. Its slogan is “Run for the World!”, and the wider ambition is huge: 85 million people across 195 countries contributing movement to the same campaign.
