Cros Popular de Sants is a Barcelona race series centered on a 10 km run in the Sants neighborhood. Shorter races for children and an inclusive event are also part of the program. The children’s races are divided by age: Centpeus is a 1-mile race for ages 7 to 14, and Petit Cros offers under-7s a 600-meter option. The inclusive races are 1500 meters and 500 meters for runners with intellectual disabilities.
The event is organized by Cros Popular de Sants and feels more like a neighborhood running day than a single race. Its additional elements include Cros Solidari, a charity component of the series, and FotoCros, a photography feature linked from the race site. The name also connects to local industrial history: Amadeo Cros owned the Cros company, which started with sulfuric acid production, later manufactured fertilizers, and relocated from Sants to Badalona before expanding throughout Spain.
