Cross Pinares de Cartaya begins and ends in the San Isidro meadow in Cartaya, Huelva, sending participants into the local pine woods. This cross-country event takes place in November as part of the Provincial Diputación de Huelva Cross Country Circuit. It is organized by Cartaya City Council with support from the Municipal Sports Service and Club de Atletismo Cartaya. The Andalusian Athletics Federation has approved the race, which has a nearly four-decade history within the local running calendar.
The event attracts skilled runners from Huelva province and southern Portugal, while also accommodating families with approximately twenty categories ranging from young children to veterans. The pine forest environment defines the race, with spectators in the San Isidro area and runners filling the woods amidst applause. The race also supports the Day against Gender Violence, leveraging the event's attendance and participation to convey a public message against all forms of violence.
