Cross Subida a la Campa Torres is a 12 km uphill-and-back cross race in Asturias, held each September as part of Club Natación Santa Olaya’s social festivals. It begins at the club’s facilities, ascends toward Campa Torres, and requires runners to manage approximately 380 m of elevation gain before returning to the Oly.
The race is the oldest cross event in Asturias, appearing on the Club Natación Santa Olaya sports calendar since 1990. Its original route turns around by the parking area of the Campa Torres Archaeological Park. The climb presents a greater challenge than a flat road race of the same distance. Notable participants have included Martín Fiz, Rocío Ríos, and Abel Antón, alongside club runners and individuals new to popular races. Spectators typically attend in significant numbers, fostering a connection to the club and the city beyond that of a typical local race.
