Cursa Popular de Sa Salsa is a Christmas running event in Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Ibiza, starting from the San José football field. Its name comes from Salsa de Nadal, Ibiza’s traditional almond Christmas sauce, and the event is designed for families as much as runners: the youngest children race 50 meters, while seniors and adult categories run 6 km.
The program uses short age-group routes before the adult road race, with distances stepping up through 200 m, 450 m, 900 m, 1,350 m, and 1,800 m for youth categories. Grup Esportiu es Vedrà organizes the race, trophies go to category winners, Salsa de Nadal is served afterward, and participants are asked to bring unwanted clothing or sports equipment for charities or local associations.
