The Duatlón Cross de Reis Vimianzo is a morning cross duathlon held in Vimianzo, within Galicia's Soneira area. It features running and off-road cycling, differing from a standard road race. The event commences at 9:30 AM and marks its seventeenth edition, with 179 athletes registered, a turnout similar to the previous year. It holds particular local significance as Galicia's sole cross duathlon of the year and serves as the venue for the Galician championships at supersprint and standard distances.
The supersprint race begins at Praza Neira Marcos in Castromil, comprising a 1.8 km run, a 9.8 km bike leg, and a final 0.8 km run. The standard race, starting later, is considerably longer: 5.4 km running, 21 km cycling, and a 3.6 km run to conclude. Younger age groups and the popular race follow the supersprint format, while the standard distance attracts Galicia's leading senior competitors. The program also incorporates men's, women's, and mixed relays, ensuring the day accommodates more than just individual specialists.
