Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves is a road cycling gran fondo on Gran Canaria, serving as the opening stage of Gran Canaria Bike Week. It begins in Arucas, the island's northern gateway town, and directs riders towards Pico de las Nieves, the high mountain summit that lends the event its name. The complete route spans 125 km, with a shorter Artenara option available for participants seeking a demanding challenge without the full distance.
The ride centers on climbing: Pico de las Nieves is one of the island’s most difficult ascents, and Artenara, the destination for the shorter route, is Gran Canaria's highest village. The event holds UCI accreditation and is part of the TotalEnergies Challenge. It attracts a diverse group of cyclists, ranging from seasoned gran fondo riders aiming for the main climb to those with less experience opting for the Artenara distance as a more accessible test.
