Ironman de Vitoria-Gasteiz is a full-distance triathlon held annually in July in Vitoria-Gasteiz, located in Spain's Basque Country. Competitors travel from across the globe to face the standard Ironman distances: a 3.8 km open-water swim, a 180 km cycling course, and a 42.2 km marathon.
The swim takes place in the Ullibarri-Gamboa reservoir, surrounded by mountains and forests. The cycling portion follows roads through the Basque Country, concluding with a marathon run within and near Vitoria-Gasteiz, connecting the city to the broader Álava region.
