La Foranca 2026

La Foranca is a mountain race held in October, based in Alàs, within Lleida’s Alt Urgell region. The primary event covers 20 km with 1,100 m of elevation gain, complemented by a 13K alternative featuring approximately 800 m of ascent. This race is part of the Circuit Fer, a collection of mountain races where participants accumulate points based on their involvement and results. The race route follows ancient mountain paths surrounding Alàs, incorporating historical trails that were previously disused. A key objective of the event is for Amics de la Foranca and the Ajuntament d’Alàs i Cerc to revive these paths through trail running. Collaborating with the Unió Excursionista Urgellenca, participants will find the characteristic practicalities of a community-organized mountain event, such as commemorative tokens and prize draws for sporting equipment.
