La Sagra Skyrace takes place in La Puebla de Don Fadrique, Granada, starting and finishing on Avenida Santas Mártires. Held in late September, it features multiple distances: a 42 km skymarathon (1,741 m elevation gain), a 22 km skyrace (1,248 m), a 16 km skytrail (850 m), and a 12.43 km hiking route (566 m). With a participant limit of approximately 600 across all formats, it offers a focused mountain running atmosphere rather than a large-scale urban event.
The majority of the race course is within the Red Natura 2000 protected zone of Sierra de La Sagra, surrounding La Sagra peak, Andalusia's highest summit outside of Sierra Nevada. The event is coordinated by the Puebla de Don Fadrique town council and Club Senderista Piedra de la Rendija. Its competitive history includes two Spanish Cup appearances, four Andalusian Cup events, one World Cup race, and a broadcast on Teledeporte.
