Maratón Clandestino 2026

Maratón Clandestino is an unofficial marathon in Campo de Criptana, organized since 2015 by Raimundo Luis Naranjo Martín de la Sierra, known as Ray. It started as a run among friends and maintains that spirit: enjoy the distance at your own pace, without competition. The name arose because the race was not official, and that "clandestine" aspect is now its main draw. Ray jokes each year that it will be his last marathon, yet he organizes it again; by its fifth edition, the run required more planning as more people became aware of the open secret.
